 The IFIA AC represents the interests of the majority of the inspection industry in the Americas. Our member companies provide independent superintendence, analysis and inspection, and testing services for petroleum, agricultural, consumer and other products traded internationally. The IFIA AC promotes internationally accepted standards in methods, documentation and qualification of companies and personnel.
Toward this end, the IFIA AC began its Inspector Certification Program in April  1998. Members also are required annually to adhere to the IFIA Compliance Code. They observe IFIA Guidelines, follow individual member company Terms and Conditions and remain active in further developing inspection company guidelines for the benefit of the industry.
In addition, our subcommittees gather information and develop industry positions on government and association based standards, guidelines and accreditation matters affecting the inspection business in the Americas. Issues include education, training, safety, liability/insurance, and terms and conditions. Our subcommittees include:
